History in the making – the First Bath
its not actually the first Port bath. Its just the first bath in a bathroom with running hot water.
In the past , its been the tin bath in front of the fire, or on a mild day, outside on the grass ( not bad either, so I kept the tin bath).
Now the wood burning stove in the main room, and solar panels heat the water , which is then pumped by a solar and windpowered pump that drives it through the pipes to all taps, and even a couple of radiators. So you can relax, you’re as virtuous a bather as you can be .
Add candlelight, the noise of a storm outside, and a hunk of kelp youve just dragged in from the sea, for full-on smugness.
